Mario Nicolah is a colombian Artist and Illustrator, born in Bogotá, Colombia but currently living in Milan, Italy. An Alumnus of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana’s Visual Arts Bachelor program, specializing in the use of pen and ink on paper to create intricate and mysterious images that explore themes of Mythology, Fantasy and the Occult. Having recently finished the Master in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies of the Nuova Academia di Belle Arti di Milano (NABA) he also explores the possibilities of Graphic Design and Contemporary Art as means to broaden his expression, along with watercolors, pigments and digital illustration. His major influences range from Art Nouveau imagery and Symbolist Paintings to Fashion, Photography, Tarot Decks, Esoteric Ephemera and 90’s Manga and Anime.
